Naughty Santa

Naughty Santa

Sometimes it is great to send fun Christmas cards to people you know will take it as a bit of fun.

This one was made for my Brother-in-Law from my Sister.

To make this I first stamped Loads of Cheer, coloured and fussy cut it out. I next die cut the MFT Up on the Rooftop die set and coloured it too, adding a little glitter for the snow.

I blended the background sky and added snow, before assembling the card and adding a black frame and the personalised sentiment.

I hope everyone is having a good day and that Santa has brought you lovely gifts.

Today I am sharing a card my for my sister to give to her husband using a rubber stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Greedy Santa.

To make the card I first cut printed the name on the from of the card, cut it out to 7×5″ size, stamped Santa in his car on the front. Next I cut out a stamped mask of Santa, made tree masks using a layering die set from Polkadoodles – Layering Trees and cut a mask for the moon and positioned them all.

I coloured the background sky with distress oxide inks, removed the moon mask and added blobs using distress oxide Pumice Stone, outlined the trees and coloured with Copic markers. Finally Santa, his car and all his money was coloured with Copic markers too.

Finally snow effect was made by using Cosmic Shimmer Embossing Snow.

When you have sisters you have to give them similar Christmas Cards. And now it is the turn of the second sister. Similar cards – same but different.

Cut 7×5″cardstock, printed the sentiment and names then covered with Creative Expressions Metallic Gilding Polish – Enchanted Gold. I then partially embossed using Simon Says Stamps 3D Embossing Folder – Refracted.

Stamped and coloured with Copic marker pens then cut out the Whimsy Stamp Penguin Christmas Tree stamp.

Next I used Under the Christmas Tree Pink Fresh Layering Studio stencil and inks to colour and dies to cut out the tree.

To assemble, the card was layered up, the frame being made using red cardstock and Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Essential Sized Rectangle dies.
