Recipe for Love
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it is good to get ahead and thought that this stamp from MFT – Recipe for Happiness would be perfect. It was a stamp set that I bought some time ago for a special reason – a chef was leaving his job. I then thought that there would be limited use for it afterwards unless I knew other chefs changing jobs. However, I looked at it again and thought this is great for love cards.
Using the MFT wall stencil, I used Distress Ink Barn Door to lighty colour the wall, gave the chef red colour clothing to keep the theme, then finally cut out hearts with the MFT Tag Builder BluePrints 6 to add as the aroma from the cooking.

To early for Christmas Cards?
When Simon Says Stamps has a challenge using Hero Arts stamps what do you do? Use your favourite christmas stamp. I really love the simplicity of the Let it Snow stamp, where snowmen can be dressed up or down. So, to enter this challenge I stamped the big snowman, cut it out, added a subtle layer of grey around the snowman to add a shadow, then layered the snowman on to the card. An additional scarf was stamped using Distress Ink – Festive Berries, cut out and glued on to the snowman and covered with 3D Gloss Finish to add some depth. A number of circle layers were cut, with one coloured using Festive Berries ink again to bring the card together. Sentiment was stamped again using the Festive Berries ink.

Cool Penguin Trio
You may previously have seen a cad made with the Mama Elephant Cool Penguins stamps.
This set of cards were made with the same technique – Rangers Distress Oxide used to make the backgrounds, hills made with the MFT Stitched Basic Edges dies Peek a Boo Window Circle.
Each background was made using different Rangers Distress Oxides. The Penguins from the Mama Elephant Cool Penguins set were coloured in with Promarkers, cut out and stuck on to the cards to give the set of cards shown here.
