New Year is the time to try out your new Christmas gifts and thank those who have given you presents.
This card has been made using the new ink set Sugar Plum from Altenew using the new stamp set Regal Beauty. This set is one of the easiest to line up so have spent half of my time making lots of flowers using the different inks. The flowers and leaves were all cut out and layered on to Altenew Tree Ring Die.

Today after a long period of absence I would like to share the first of my Thank You cards I made for many of the presents I was lucky enough to receive over the festive period.
The card was made stamping the Friendship Blooms Hero Arts with Gina K. I then coloured the flowers in using Polychromo pencils. Although I tend to love all things crafty, I have been seen more and more cards being made using these pencils to decided to take the plunge in a very small way with a technique which was new to me. I bought a few different shades of red to see if I liked using them (which is why all the flowers are different shades of red as I was experimenting). I must admit I do like using them and will now buy more, but only after I have watched some more You-tube channels.
Finally the sentiment Thanks was cut using glitter card and stuck onto the card before being handed over. For completion, the envelope was made using paper from my stash.

Sharing a birthday card with you which was quite fun but simple to make. I used the Gina K Design Mandala Maker Stamp , had lots of fun deciding the pattern. I used the Gina K Design Wreath Maker, stamping each time using embossing ink, which took a long time to dry, allowing me to cover with the Tonic fine white embossing powder.
After I coloured the background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide – Salty Ocean – such a lovely deep colour and so easy to work with.
The sentiment was then stamped using the Salty Ocean ink. Such a simple but effective card to make.
I want to enter the card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge – Happy Birthday
Today I a sharing a card made for a friend who shares her birthday with me.
I used the Mama Elephant Flying with Friends stamps coloured with my faithful promarker pens. I am sure you will agree with me that they are soo cute. The background was made using the distress oxides fossilized amber and carved pumpkin using the MFT Stencil Sunshine Radiating. I also coloured card to matt the sunshine rays on to.
I have been trying to master the art of eclipse cards. Today I am sharing a card made for my sister using the Altenew Bold dies.
I initially stamped the card using my W9Plus Pretty Little Peonies and pinks, purples and green Altenew inks. When the ink was dry, the I ligned up the alphabet dies and cut them out. They were then layered on to letters which had been cut from card stock to raise them when they were placed on the card.
I was then able to give my sister a personalised birthday card which she did love.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner and love is in the air, I thought I would share a card with you using a die I recently bought from Simon Says Stamps – Stacked Hearts. I first used Distress Oxides – Pumpkin Pie, Abandoned Coral and Festive Berries to colour card stock. I used the die to cut the coloured card stock, keeping the small hearts for a future project. The heart outlines were infilled with small white hearts coloured with clear Wink of Stella.
I layered this on to checked card stock made by stamping Concord and 9th Plaid Background Stamp with Festive Berries and Pumpkin Pie. The sentiment, stamped with Festive Berries ink was from Altenew.

When Simon Says Stamps has a challenge using Hero Arts stamps what do you do? Use your favourite christmas stamp. I really love the simplicity of the Let it Snow stamp, where snowmen can be dressed up or down. So, to enter this challenge I stamped the big snowman, cut it out, added a subtle layer of grey around the snowman to add a shadow, then layered the snowman on to the card. An additional scarf was stamped using Distress Ink – Festive Berries, cut out and glued on to the snowman and covered with 3D Gloss Finish to add some depth. A number of circle layers were cut, with one coloured using Festive Berries ink again to bring the card together. Sentiment was stamped again using the Festive Berries ink.
