This latest project was made specifically for the Global Design Project #GDP137, using colours which I would not normally have used together: Stampin Up Melon Mambo, Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party
For the card I used bubble stencils which were coloured using the three colours for the background. Not sure if I need more Pool Party re-inker as the colour was not as strong as I remember. I then over-stamped the background using the daisy from Helping me Grow in grey I do love the flowers in the stamp set. The border was then cut and coloured with Melon Mambo (as I don’t have any co-ordinating coloured card stock), and the sentiment stamped with the Lime colour.
I would like to enter the card in the following challenges;
Thanks with Stampin’ Up
I just love water colouring with Stampin’ Up inks. For this card, stamped Whisper White card with Tonic white embossing powder and coloured the flowers by wetting the card and using Tangelo Twist, Bermuda Bay and Concord Crush liquid ink to create the coloured effect. The image was then cut out and layered on to Tangelo Twist card, then layered on to White Whisper White card which too was dry embossed, and layered on to a Tangelo Twist before being stuck down on to the card. The sentiment Thanks was stamped with Tangelo Twist and layered across to finish the card.

Thank you Blooming Bouquet
Having discovered another American stamping supplier – Altenew Stamps, I recently took delivery of one of their sets Blooming Bouquet which looked as if it could be so versatile for many different occasions.
The stamp was stamped over two pieces of card and embossed with Tonic Nuvo white embossing powder and water coloured using stamping up Emerald Envy, Tangerine Tango and Concord Crush. using the water allowed the die colour to separate and give different shades.
I would like to enter this Thank You card in the Seven Hills October Sketch Challenge.
Guilty as charged. I have not written for a while, but have been busy making cards. On this dull dreich day, I thought I would share this thank you card made for a friend. I thought that I would also enter it in to the Lili of the Valley March Challenge on Facebook.
Using the Cupcake stamp, I coloured in with Promarker pens, Nitwits paper background paper, spellbinders were used to cut the layers and paper flowers added to finish it off.
Hope you are having a sunnier warmer day than us. I promise that I will share more designs with you soon.
