I regularly post cards that I make for friends and family. As this is my 35 Wedding Anniversary – who would believe it I wanted to make a quick card for my husband who loves all cards I make for him.
This one was made using another Lili of the Valley stamps, James the Bear, which this time I bought the digital download to use. Coloured him in using grey Promarkers and layered onto Nitwits backing paper.
Guilty as charged. I have not written for a while, but have been busy making cards. On this dull dreich day, I thought I would share this thank you card made for a friend. I thought that I would also enter it in to the Lili of the Valley March Challenge on Facebook.
Using the Cupcake stamp, I coloured in with Promarker pens, Nitwits paper background paper, spellbinders were used to cut the layers and paper flowers added to finish it off.
Hope you are having a sunnier warmer day than us. I promise that I will share more designs with you soon.
Lili of the Valley December Winter Challenge
I cannot believe that we are now in December. Where did the past year go? Christmas cards are being made as we speak, so I thought I would use the opportunity to use one of my favourite Lili of the Valley stamps, the cute Penguin which is no longer available to buy, to enter the December Challenge on Facebook. I was lucky enough to win back in June, which has encouraged me to challenge my imagination. Hope you like the result and fingers crossed.
LOTV November Facebook Challenge
Having entered the LOTV Facebook Monthly Challenge regularly, this was one that stretched my abilities. Having never made a card with specific colours, the LOTV Facebook November Challenge wanted to bring together colours to commemorate Remembrance Sunday. This time I did not have a card ready and waiting to fit the challenge so had to look through my paper stash to see what was available. I picked three different LOTV stamps as I was still not sure what the theme was going to be. I found Nitwits Polar paper which I though had all the colours I needed, background plain paper, Promarker pens and WOW Glitter. These would be perfect to make a Christmas Card using James the Bear with tinsel.
Hope you like the result.
LOTV James the Christmas Bear
Still cannot quite get in to the groove to make Christmas cards. Made one before, but saw the competition on Lili of the Valley Facebook Challenge which this time is Christmas. So I decided to enter (again)
I just love James the Bear – whether it is for a Birthday, Christmas or just a Get Well card. He is so cute. This one was made using Chilli Red ProMarker a tough of glitter and layered on to NitWit Polar Pals paper.
LOTV 60th Birthday Card
It has been some time since I added a card to the blog. I knew that I had a card that I wanted to make for someone special and lost my mojo. This card was the one that I eventually made for her 60th birthday for someone. It started out as one design, and then as it was for my friend, it was one of those ideas that I just didn’t feel happy with. Do you ever start of with an idea, then change midway as you do not feel that it is working, or the colour scheme or layout is not right?
Anyway after days of layout designs and recolouring Rosie, I finally settled on the current card, coloured with Promarker pens and layered onto paper background cut with Sue Wilson Shadow Dies. I hope you like
LOTV James and the Daisy
As you can see Lili of the Valley are one of my favourite stamp companies. Their stamps care so versatile and can be used on many different occasions. James is a friendly bear who just wants to give – and this time it is a daisy.
Coloured with Promarkers, the pink and black theme works quite well. I used some of my card stash, and using my Spellbinder square dies, cut out the layers for the 7 x 7″ Get Well card, for my sisters mother-in-law who fell and broke her hip.
Lili of the Valley Challenge
I love the fact that Lili of the Valley have a monthly challenge on their Facebook page. I was lucky enough to win in the June challenge, but want to enter this one for their August challenge.
Sending love was a card made using Promarkers to colour the bear and Nitwits papers used for the background.
Lili of the Valley LOTV
I don’t know about you, but I always find male cards a bit of a challenge. Lili of the Valley have a number of excellent stamps which can be used for a variety of age groups. My husband had asked me to make one for a friend of his who was turning 60. As he regularly played golf I thought I would use the LOTV golfer stamp. The theme red was chosen as he was also a Liverpool Football Club supporter. I don’t know about you, but if I make asked to make a card for a specific person, I try to find out what they like and personalise it.
As Lili of the Valley regularly have monthly Facebook challenges, I decided to try my luck and submitted this one to the Sporty Challenge
and lucky enough to be chosen as a winner.
