Mr Snowman

Mr Snowman

Today I am sharing a card made using the Snowman stamp from the MFT RAM Snow Sweet stamp set.

I first created a background using distress ink oxides using the new Greetery Arch Stencils. I then used the Spellbinder Snowflake Stencil and Luna Paste from Creative Expressions. When the paste was dry I stamped the sentiment from MFT Christmas Wishes stamp set. I next stamped and coloured the snowman, cut him out and to assemble the card layered silver mirror card, blue card and finally added the snowman.

Frosty Friends

Frosty Friends

It may be warm and sunny outside, but don’t know about you we woke up to a cold frosty morning, reminding us winter is not finished yet.

It made me think I should be starting to make 2024 Christmas Cards as I always end up leaving it too late and not making enough.

Today I want to share one using the Hello Blue Birds Frosty Friends stamps and jumping on the Waffle Flower Postage Dies and Stencils Bandwagon.

To make this card I first cut out cardstock using the waffle Flower Postage die, laid the stencil over it to position the stamps, removed the stencil and stamped, and stamping again to make masks.

I then covered the images with the masks and using the stencil and Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass and Wilted Violet to make backgrounds for the images. I then removed and coloured the friends with my markers.

Next I cut another piece of cardstock and using the outer pattern of the stencil and the distress oxides created a border.

Finally to complete the card I layered the pieces of card onto an A7 with glue.

Santa on his Sleigh

Santa on his Sleigh

Today is colder – but no snow just frost so it is just as well Santa has a sleigh that is power driven.

Today I am sharing another personalised Christmas Card made using more stamps from the Jane Doodles stamp set from Creative Expressions – Driving Home for Christmas.

To make this one I first printed the sentiment, then used Distress Ink Oxides to colour the background green as that was a particular favourite colour of the recipient, then added white snow from Creative Expressions.

Next I stamped, masked to add parcels, coloured and fussy cut the Santa and trees, then when assembled the card, adding different background layers I adhered them with foam pads.

Kraft Gift Tags

Kraft Gift Tags

Recently I shared a Christmas card made using stamps designed by Jane Doodles from Creative Expressions and Kraft Card. Today I am sharing Gift Tags made using stamps from the same set  White Christmas.

To make them – the first one I cut out Kraft card and white card using the Sam Poole Tag die, then cut out an aperture and adhered the two pieces together, sprinkled with Embossing Powder Snow Storm.

To make the second I cut two pieces of Kraft Card with the tag die, adhered them together and sprinkled with Embossing Powder Snow. I then adhered a piece of double sided sheet to white cardstock, cut out and adhered to the tag, then sprinkled with Diamond Frost Glitter.

The images were stamped, coloured and fussy cut then ribbon added to the tags. Already to use.

Cute as Christmas

Cute as Christmas

How elegant is this card? Would you like to make a non traditional colour Christmas Card?

You need:

What to do:

  1. Cut a 6.5 x6.5″ white card and colour using the Distress Oxide Speckled Egg.
  2. Next cut a piece of masking sheet 4×4″ square and place it in the centre of the card to provide a guide for the flourish stamp from the Cute as Christmas set.
  3. Line up the stamp on the outer edge of the masking paper and using embossing ink, stamp the Flourish once then repeat masking some of the stamp. Quickly repeat all around the card and add the Wow Silver Embossing Powder and heat.
  4. Blend Distress Oxide Speckled Egg onto another piece of white card and stamp and heat emboss a Christmas Bauble and Holly.
  5. Next colour more white card with the Distress Oxide Speckled Egg to that it shows a blended effect and cut out a Circle using a scalloped die.
  6. Adhere the Christmas Bauble behind the Circle so that it shows through
  7. Cut a scalloped frame with silver mirror card and layer onto the circle
  8. Cut out the aperture of the top layer with a square die.
  9. Cut an aperture in the 6×6″ Winter Wonderland Paper to start building up the layers, adhering them as shown in the image with the largest frame on the top.
  10. Cut silver mirror card to make a very fine frame using layering square dies and glue to the edge of the square
  11. Stamp the sentiment from the Cute as Christmas set with the Speckled Egg and layered onto a piece of silver mirror card.
