Butterfly Wings of Wonder

Butterfly Wings of Wonder

Today the card shared was made using the same set of butterfly dies from the latest Creative Expressions Jamie Rodgers Wings of Wonder part 2 – but this time I have cut out the butterfly from the original corner die.

To make this card I first used Pixie Powders – Candy Pink and Sun Yellow – using cling film to mix the colours before they dried. Next the slimline frames and apertures were cut using the following slimline dies – outer scalloped aperture, inner scalloped aperture and outer scalloped die.

Following a tip from Jamie Rodgers, I cut out the solid butterfly with a second piece of card behind so the butterfly die would make an impression, but not cut all the way through. These pieces of card were then lined up behind the apertures and the card was assembled.

The butterflies were cut using the corner die and snipped out before adhering to the card. As you can see there are small butterflies which too were cut from the corner die and adhered with glue. To complete the card, sentiments from the wordies were slightly coloured with pixie sparkles and dried before being attached.
