Snowy for Christmas
I just love Penny Black ‘Snowy’ don’t you. He is so cute and can be used in so many ways. This time I decided that it was going to be a production line and make a number of small cute simple cards for Christmas, the same but different. Stamped, die cut out, then they were coloured with red, green and purple promarkers, layered onto card and Tonic Nuvo glitter hats.
Hope you like them. I am going to enter in the Passion for Promarker Challenge #420 – Use your die cuts
Bellarific Lucille sending love
This is my entry for the Bellarific Friday theme. This week it is a MOJOBELLA sketch challenge as shown below. Stamping the hearts and fussy cutting out Lucille she was then layered with her hearts on to the background. All the hearts were coloured using Versamark ink pads, whilst the rest of Lucille was coloured using my faithful Promarker Pens. To give the topper the scalloped effect, small hearts were punched out and stuck behind the circle. This was all layered onto NitWits papers with the studs made from Tonic Nuvo Crystal drops dried and glued on to the card.
I would also like to enter the card in the Ribbon Girl November Challenge.
How often do you normally spend when making a single card? I must confess I can take over 2 days, with the background and accents being the issue – should I add this, how does it look, do the colours go, all being part of my dilemma.
However, this one was made like Speedy Gonzales. I was on the PaperPlayers blog and the challenge this week is a tic tac toe square giving many options, When I saw what we could use I immediately decided I wanted to use my new Sue Wilson set of dies, my MFT Peek-a-boo stitched rectangle and shiny card stock I keep meaning to use, but never get around to using it. The sentiment was stamped using a Hero Arts stamp which I have have for to many years to mention, but use every year when making Christmas cards.
I would like to enter the card in the PaperPlayers #368 – with Tree, Die-cut and Shine.
I, like one of my friends has a birthday on the 14th July – so I should have no excuse and not forget her birthday. However, on many an occasion I have been making a card which is drying the night before a birthday. This time I have planned well ahead and tied it in with the Lili of the Valley Facebook July Challenge – Feature a Creature and entered it in to a new challenge I have never entered before – Paper Creators – Anything Goes.
I used the Balloon Bunny, coloured in using my faithful Promarkers Pens and made the layers using different shades of purple card in my stash. Circle was cut using the Spellbinders Grand, and the layering background was made using the cellophane from flower bouquet which I thought was a good way to add a bit of interest to the card along with a bit of ribbon.
CAS Stamping Bella
It has been a while since I have submitted anything and apologise. I have been away on holiday, but admit that I did miss my card making.
Since I came back I have been making a few which I will share with you all shortly. However I am quite pleased with this Clean and Simple card made for a work colleagues birthday.
The stamp was a recent purchase – Stampin Bella Uptown Girl Lucille and coloured in using many purple Promarker pens. The background was just a piece I had lying in the drawer, kept from previous projects “just in case”.
Hope you like the end result as I know I had fun making it.
