Beautiful Day plus some
Inspired by the Altenew Challenge colours I knew that the blue would be perfect to use with my Parrot Paradise stamps. I decided to stamp the leaves with Ocean Waves, Dusk and Dark Knight then fussy cut. I have always looked at the parrot tail and see that as part of a layering with the rest of the leaves, so stamped with Ruby Red and cut out to add some more interest. The flowers were from the Beautiful Day set, and stamped with Sun Kissed, Orange Cream, Ruby Red and Autumn Blaze, and layered on to the fine frame cut out of red cardstock.
This card is being entered in the January 2019 Altenew Inspiration Challenge.
Sending Hugs on a Beautiful Day
Hope you all had a happy weekend. I took the opportunity to use my fast becoming set of stamps – Altenew Beautiful Day. I embossed flowers and leaves using Nuvo Tonic white embossing powder which always has excellent results and fast becoming my go to powder. I cut them out and coloured using blue, green and pink water colour pencils.
They were layered on to a circle cut using MFT scalloped circles. To add interest, the inside circle was dotty embossed, everything was then co-ordinated with some blue Nitwits paper blue stash.

Do you ever make a card just because you have the stamps, card and inks and just for the fun of it?
This is the result of one I thought I would make when I discovered I have a lot of matching card in my cupboard which has been there for a long time. After a number of different ideas and layouts, I took inspiration from the Paper Player Challenge and this is the result. Still looking for a new home as sitting in my box of cards.
I used the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp, colours layered using the Altenew Red Cosmos Mini Ink Pads. The card was Bazzil Monochrome card which I thought went well with the flower colours. Tags were made from the Build a Tag Dynamics set 5 and the ribbon was from stash. Edges of the flower were touched up to give a bit of sparkle.
